Riya was tired of being alone. Her friends kept pushing her to try dating apps. One night, she finally gave in. She made a profile, uploaded some pictures, and waited.
It didn’t take long. Within an hour, she got a match. His name was Arjun. He had a calm smile in all his pictures. His bio said, "I like quiet places and deep conversations."
They started chatting. Arjun was different. He didn’t ask creepy questions. He spoke politely. He listened. Riya felt safe.
After a week of chatting, he asked her to meet. She agreed.
They decided to meet at an old café near the edge of the city. Riya had never heard of it before. "It's peaceful there," Arjun said.
She reached the café at 7 PM. It looked old. Almost abandoned. But the lights were on.
She stepped in. It was empty. The air felt cold. She called out, "Arjun?"
No reply.
She sat and waited.
Minutes passed. Her phone buzzed.
New message from Arjun: "I'm watching you from the corner."
She turned.
Nothing.
Then her phone buzzed again.
"You shouldn't have come."
The lights went off.
And that was the last anyone heard of Riya.
